“Diva expresses to the viewer a number of different emotions.  My idea was to evoke a literal Diva of the "Grand Opera.” Many feel it expresses distress, as in "What next?" Others would give the sculpture a more comical name, such as "Drama Queen."

With my stylized work, I like the long, simple lines suggesting height.  Although all of my work is in bronze, I often chose a patina that mimics marble or stone. ”
