Illia, an abstract representation of a female figure, serves to depict the dualistic nature of our beings. Behind a carefully crafted facade you will often find the hidden layers that define who we really are.

Born and raised in Michigan, Nestor spent his early years exploring the woods and lakes close to home as well as developing a lifelong interest in art. After moving to Colorado in 1972, his creative spirit and love of the Colorado landscape led to a career in Landscape Architecture, designing and creating public and private projects in Colorado.

Nestor now spends his time between the two, creating distinctive landscape designs for residential clients and working with various materials to create artwork that speaks to his creative spirit.

"My work draws on my interest in the natural world, classical art, symbolic images and the manipulation of simple forms to discover newfound beauty and grace. I hope to build a portfolio of unique works that engage the viewer to see beyond the image in front of him."
