In this piece I have used the mountain sheep as a symbol of endurance, facing into the wind with a heavy coat for protection from the elements. "Equal to the Pain" is a member of the "Big Coat" series.

Robert Brubaker was educated at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he earned a BFA, and Illinois State University, for his Graduate studies. He has been a sculptor since 1977.
