by Lorri Acott-Fowler Permanently Placed at Mt. Evans Hospice Home Healthcare Building on Bergen Peak Drive Peace is the 2008 winner of the Mt. Evans Hospice Public Art Competition. It is a fourteen foot bronze figure, reaching up to the sky and releasing multi-colored origami folded cranes. In Japan, these cranes are symbols of peace and hope. Lorri believes the figure represents the place and people of Mt Evans Hospice and Health Care. The cranes represent the hope and peace that this organization and the people involved with it bring to our community.
