Intimacy

"'Abstract Figurative' is the description given to the style of my sculpture. I am fascinated by the process of working with the human figure, pushing, pulling and redesigning the space the figure occupies, yet leaving the essence of what the human figure is."

"I am also interested in relationships between human beings, as I believe they are the most challenging processes we participate in! Keeping your "individual self" yet being a part of the "us" in a relationship and remaining balanced is no small task."

In my sculpture I select moments in relationships that depict the "us", and define each individual. Intimacy reveals that moment, when each of us individually takes the time to give to the needs of the other yet we are each automomous. I am constantly designing and building work that projects these universal experiences.
